Given the success of the last ocean conservation drive where we learned more about some friendly marine critters, Ting and Kate decide to expand our environmental consciousness to the avian world. Bird watching is a popular activity with the guests and Ting and Kate want to make sure we’re being kind to them as we study them.
It’s that time of year when the island becomes home to a slew of non-native birds migrating from colder climes. These cautious fliers are sometimes wary of humans so we’ll need some expert help to get close to them. Our favorite celebrity conservationists, Jack and Kerry McLeod, join us with all the information we need for this feathered adventure!
So get started! You’re on your way to meet and interact with cute and friendly critters as you monitor their vitals and study their behavior.
If you are at least Level 9, you will be invited to join in the “Fair Feathered Friends” event. You will need to force-close the game to see the update, or even reboot your device.
Start off the event by tapping on the Platforms that are placed near the beach area.
There are 13 types of migratory birds that came to the island: 5 types of Ducks, 4 types of Hummingbirds, and 4 types of Cranes.
Each of these species will be attracted by a different kind of lure. There are three types of lures that you can either craft or find:
Rice Ball - Attract Ducks
Nectar - Attract Hummingbirds
Snail - Attract Cranes
Note: Retagging Ducks will bring lures for Hummingbirds. Retagging Hummingbirds will in turn bring lures for Cranes.
Once you have the required lure, drag it to the Platform to attract an animal.
You'll have to do some tasks and supply items for this new bird before it flies away.
Complete the tasks faster by collecting Helping Hand tokens from Beach Club Buddies.
After tagging the animal, don’t forget to collect your rewards!
Jack and Kerry McLeod would like to track and tag thirteen different migratory birds. You can see the whole collection by tapping on the Go to Map button.
Find and tag all the migratory birds on the map and receive Lady Jane the Crane who will give you an hour of unlimited Sunshine for 10 days!
