Your resort is more popular than ever, and with the increased tourist traffic in the area, Ting and Kate want to make sure we’re being kind to the ocean and environment as we serve our guests. They called in their friend, renowned marine biologist Marina Day, to track and tag marine life, which is the best indicator of ocean health.

Given how shy some marine creatures can be, they need experts to join the search. Just as Marina tries to formulate a plan to attract these creatures, Harper the fisherman, and his ride Keiki the whale came to help! These seasoned veterans of the seas know just the right ingredients that will have marine creatures flocking to you!

Start interacting with cute and friendly critters as you monitor their vitals and study their behavior.

If you are at least Level 9, you will get the chance to meet new marine life with the “Friends from the Deep” event. You will need to force-close the game to see the update, or even reboot your device.

Start by tapping on the Observation Camp that is placed near the beach area.

Each species will be attracted by a different kind of lure. There are three types of lures that you can either craft or find:

Tropic Treat - Attract Dolphins
Craft this lure at the Sushi Stand.

Flying Fish - Attract Turtles
• Get this lure by retagging a dolphin that has already been tagged.

Magnosa - Attract Rays
• Get this lure by retagging a turtle that has already been tagged.

Once you have the required lure, drag it to the platform to attract an animal.

Once the lure has been placed, an animal will swim up! In this case, a dolphin has arrived because a Tropic Treat was used as a lure!

Tap the Start Tagging button to see what tasks you’ll need to do to tag the animal.

Tagging an animal involves supplying items for the animal before the timer runs out and it swims away.

After successfully tagging the animal, don’t forget to collect your rewards for a job well done!

Sometimes, an animal that has already been tagged will return. Go ahead and tag it again! Retagging dolphins is the only way to get lures for Turtles, and retagging Turtles is how you’ll get lures to attract the Rays.

Marina would like to track and tag thirteen animals in total. So keep placing those lures and supplying items! You can view all the thirteen animals we’re looking for by tapping on Go to Marina’s Map.

Tag all the animals on Marina's Map to unlock the Event Bonus and win exclusive bonus rewards!

Temporary Landmark: Keiki the Whale

Search for event items near Keiki the Whale. Use these items you find there to craft supplies to tag animals.

Temporary Guides: Harper and Muffin

You can hire Harper and/or Muffin as Temporary Guides to help you out during the event. They will give you a higher chance of finding rare ingredients. Harper can fish off Keiki to find more ingredients, while Muffin will uncover more rare ingredients at your island Landmarks.

Note: Harper and Muffin are temporary guides, and will only stay on your island for the duration of the Friends from the Deep event.
