Heads Up, on Purple Star Apple Pies.

Purple Star apple pies in the Memory corner, I just wasted ten minutes searching the market and my inventory for Purple Passion fruit, to make the heirloom version of the pie for the Memory corner quest.
When I gave up and considered wasting another few minutes contacting support, I clicked on the regular recipe...
The regular recipe wants plain old apples, NOT PURPLE PASSION FRUIT...
I had thousands of HEIRLOOM Purple Star apples, but needed to bring a few elders out to speed grow them to have enough regular fruit...

I have the exact same problem. Very poor programming - again! Pretty much all of my fruit is heirloomed, so I have hardly any regular purple star apples, either. Need to make 89 pies! Come on Zynga, the quests are difficult enough without NOT being able to get the basic supplies you need!
That is the point. To encourage you to pay money, that is how they survive, we are just lucky to play for free. It's actually very good programming IMO.
