I loose many animals ...

Hi
it happens that, when I HELP a neighbour and get the animal , I reenter in my farm, open the GIFTS, take the new animal, put it in the farm but suddenly I get a notice that the game will be "reloaded" or update .... and I ALWAYS loose the new animal I got .....
the last one, few minutes ago, a wonderful GREEN DEER with a unicorn ....
how can I get it back?
