I think Zinga threw this in, because most were using the Hawaii farm for growing what-ever the current requested crop was, & not Hawaiian crops. (If farming it at all! I know of at-least 2 neighbors who are just decorating it.) :-) I haven't found a guide anywhere yet ether.
ok talk about an impossible quest to finish....guess I'll be skipping this one and it just shows why Z hasn't made an official guide for this because too many people would be ticked off see what the requirements are.

a Mango tree?? A Mango TREE??? If you don't have a Mango tree then this is great for you, I had so many Mango trees I sold most of them! I'll buy that cabana instead of torturing myself doing all of this! Maybe if they offered farm cash...lots of farm cash but a Mango tree??? no thanks....thanks for all who posted this. Yes someone is right about insult if Z had posted it! LOL!
I am sorry but the rewards for the new Hawaiian Quest do not justify the planting and crafting it would take to continue. I have started it and even built an additional pasture but after reading the above post I am out of there. I was really happy just playing my own merry way. Thank you Jeri722.The first reward was a pony I had already mastered. Perhaps we should call this the Yard Sale Quest.

Zynga - you've got to be kidding. With all that effort, you'd think you'd throw in an Instant Grow or at least an XP point or two. The trees have all been offered before - nothing new. 1 Mystery Dart for crafting a recipe 8 times? A basic tree for crafting a recipe TWELVE TIMES?

I'll be the lone voice saying, "I like it" because I don't have to beg anyone for clicks. It's something I can do at my own pace without worrying about keeping up with the crowd so that they will click on my feeds!
I'll be the lone voice saying, "I like it" because I don't have to beg anyone for clicks. It's something I can do at my own pace without worrying about keeping up with the crowd so that they will click on my feeds!
It is a different kind of begging. I went in with level 40 poi so I was able get to Quest 7 that requires the level 25 Sweet and sour shrimp. There I am stalled because the goods I made are not being bought. I AM BUYING shrimp from all my neighbors that have it, but because my shrimp is buried in a long list of goods they may not want to take the time to hunt it down. I'm making the Yam Fries now. That muddies the water because I hadn't made it before so it's level is low and it appears before the shrimp. They get bought instead.
i finally gave up this quest yesterday ... got to level 20 on poi and like poormonk no one is buying my poi (mine are buying shaved ice lol) first quest ive given up on but not regretting it yet
I'm at least hoping they let me get the free shipping license at the end of this!
The official guide does not give us any hint about that. IMHO, tying completion of this crafting marathon to free shipping license would be a low blow unless they removed the time limit.
It is probably too late, but in the spirit of this part of the forums here's what it takes to do it....
The current "More fun in Hawaii" quest is close to impossible
without careful planning and neighbors buying the right goods.
I'll address the good buying first....
First, the Level 25 Poi is attained when you meke/sell 132 units.
This occurs first in the quest chain so when you buy look for the
poi below level 25 and buy it.
Poi is recipe Level 1. Each time it's made it gives one for you
and 2 for sale. From scratch, it needs to be made 44 times to
get the 132 units. That needs 396 Taro bushels.
Next in the quest chain is Level 30 Sweet and Sour Shrimp that
takes 180 units to attain. Buy these after neighbor gets the
level 25 poi.
Sweet & Sour Shrimp is recipe level 2. When made gives 1 for you
and 3 for sale. To get the 180 units needed the recipe has to be
made 45 times.
Making it requires:
1 Shrimp (15 hrs,HP water)
3 Yam (12 hrs, HP dirt)
3 Sugarcane (not HP golden, 8 hrs on sny farm)
Last in the quest chsin is level 35 Yam Fries. These take 207
units made/sold to reach level 35. Buy after poi and S & S Shrimp
are leveled high enough.
Yam Fries are recipe level 5. Each unit made gives 1 for you and
4 for sale. The recipe needs to be made 42 times to get the 207
units.
To make them requires:
3 Yam (12 hrs, HP dirt)
2 Kelp (HP water, 12 hrs)
3 Onion (any farm, 12 hrs)
To find what you have made so far requires some figuring...
I have a spreadsheet that does this for me, but I'll share part
of the data table that spreadsheet draws from...
To figure out what you made so far needs data from both the Tiki
Bar and the table above.
From the Tiki Bar you get what level the good is now, how many
goods it takes to get to the next level and how many you have
for sale. Find the good in the Tiki Bar and hover mouse around
the image and you'll see how many it takes to level up the good.
Make a note of it. I'll call it LUN. Find number for sale (NFS)in
the "My Sales" window but note the following:
*** When units get over 100 the display leaves off the last digit
*** unless TWO of the digits are "1."
Find in the ARL (At Recipe Level) column of the table above the
row that has the level the good is on now and take the number
from the column in that row for the good in question. I call this
one SUM. Also note the number in the "need" column on the same
row. I call this one NIL. Plug the the numbers into this formula:
SUM + NFS + (NIL - LUN)
Example: You have level 16 poi and the Tiki Bar says you need 2
to level up and 30 for sale.
60 + 30 + (7-2) = 90 + 5 = 95
You have 37 Poi left to make, will take crafting it 13 times.
Of course, all of them have to be bought. That makes it tough,
because making a good only gives one leveling credit.

Well I'm stuck on Level 27 Shrimp with 4 days left so this will be the first quest I don't get finished. Plus-side, at least most of the prizes I already have. The flowered horse and the birdbath would have been nice but I doubt it's going to happen because I can't get the sales I need for the level 30 boost and I've had my market stalls stocked with for other forward planning parts. I don't have that many active players and half of the ones I do have are getting fed up and the other half can't get things through to me.
I'm at least hoping they let me get the free shipping license at the end of this!
I agree we should have gotten a shipping license with this like the "beat jade falls" activity
I have a level 10 volcano, i have mastered all of the crops, i grow crops to get coconuts for upgrades -
i finished this 29 day extravaganza with 16 hours to spare - i enjoyed the quest as it was about farming and not begging but the gifts were mainly things everyone already has had for sometime.
