We have noticed certain players taking undue advantage of the ‘Change Mission’ option in the globe battles.
This feature is meant to give players the option to change bases which they find too difficult so that they can continue progressing and enjoying the game at their own pace. However some players misuse this by deliberately restricting themselves to a 1-2 star victory while gaining all resources from the base; they then use ‘Change Mission’ (some over hundreds of times every day) to farm virtually limited resources out of the same base. This gives them an unfair edge over other bona fide players many of whom have voiced their concerns to us.
We have implemented a solution to this in the latest release in response to said player requests. We realize that this option has been available to players from the early days of the game and removing it outright is not the solution. Hence, we have implemented a solution to make it gradually unattractive with use.
We will allow for a fixed number of free ‘change mission’ actions everyday which will work same as the current system - the player can use ‘change mission’ and then either wait for the new map to be available or skip the timer using 5 gold. The limit will not be specific to bases but will apply on total change mission actions taken on the entire globe. We have kept the free limit sufficiently high so that players changing bases because of genuine reasons will not be impacted. This limit will be visible to players on their map. Also, this limit will reset every day at 00:00 PST with the same number of actions available again for the next day.
For players who wish to change missions more often than the provided limit, the option to do so will be available by using gold. The gold cost will increase with each successive skip until it reaches a sufficiently high number at which point it will be capped.
In a similar vein as above, we have seen certain players using scripting/botting to level up their Omega Units in Globe Battles and/or Killswitch event. We have taken the decision to limit the Omega XP gained from Globe battles after a fixed number of battles. Also no Omega XP will be gained from Killswitch maps after a 3 star victory. As before we have kept the limit sufficiently high so that genuine players do not lose out of Omega XP.
We have taken these decisions to strengthen fairer competition within the player community without impacting genuine players. We understand that for some of our players who have become habituated to this it might be seem like a bother for some time, but we request you to stick with the game a little bit longer. We are confident that this is the right decision in the interest of the community and it will make the game more fun in the long run. We hope our players will appreciate the effort we put into this and support our decision. We are, as always open to feedback and suggestions to make Empires and Allies more fun.
Over and out,
Team E&A.

If you're going to limit Omega experience and the change mission option, then would you kindly tweak the QM system so it's actually possible to be matched with a player in your HQ range as opposed to being matched by medal count? Say, within a 5 level HQ range.
If you're limited to resources and Omega experience that can be gleaned from the globe, QM's are the only other alternative to acquire them. Which, is impossible when you're being matched with someone whose HQ outranks you by 11 levels, and a player level which outranks you by 20 levels. You may gain Omega experience, but you lose more needed resources (steel and fuel) than you gain.
You then in turn are retaliated on by the much higher level and stronger player. You can either hide your Omega, saving you the cost of reviving and leaving your base weaker in the process. Or, use your Omega to defend, and in my case, need to use over 100k steel and fuel to revive.
When resources in the millions are necessary to upgrade and research, it kind of kills any notion of being able to do so when you're limited on two fronts. Yes, I know I could pan handle from my alliance. But, I have a feeling they're going to be in the same position that I've described in the above paragraphs. So, not much of an option there either.
While I do appreciate Zynga attempting to take steps to level out the playing field and curb the abuse of global missions and events, the steps taken do negatively impact genuine players.
Side note:
I hope the players you're aware of that were botting/scripting, had their bases deleted. No-one bots/scripts by mistake or does so without knowing they're not supposed to.
So in your estimation it is better to be a war jumper alliance? The ability to do 10, 20, or even 30 wars a day garners millions of resources and war factory components a day and this is as you said "to strengthen fairer competition within the player community without impacting genuine players". Will something be done to limit this? Probably not. Or is it just better to be a HQ hitter? Will this be addressed? Probably not? Are the players who scripted having their Omegas reverted? Probably not.
It does seem the game has gotten away from you with each and every update/added feature. Such a shame that a great game has been poorly mismanaged to this point.
"We understand that for some of our players who have become habituated to this it might be seem like a bother for some time, but we request you to stick with the game a little bit longer." Unless there is a clear and transparent future to the game with regards to the game laid out, globe farmers are not going to stick with the game a bit longer.

This is totally bs!!! So, you let those who cheated on leveling and maxing their Falcon without any punishment meanwhile, punish the rest of the community. Great move Zynga! You also decided to put a cap on resetting global bases...how about you guys fix your **** bugs and let me actually reset those bases without having the counter increment!!! None of my global bases are resettable despite pressing on the **** button! BUGS!!!! FIX YOUR **** GAME FIRST! I hope players all quit this sham of a game. Thanks alot but now it's time to get my money back. What a farce!
do you people at zynga even realize, you cant change mission on a single base more than once in an hour without paying gold. so please explain correctly what the heck youre on about , players abusing the globe. the change mission option has not ever been there for the sole purpose of changing a base which may be too difficult , it has always been a way to make resources to upgrade. another thing you obviously dont get is, when playing quick match, unless youre winning without loss nor damage to your omega , there is no resources in quick match, again unless you spend all day everyday playing and hoping you get a good run. why dont you stop those using 3rd party mods and gold cheats before you ruin the game further for the rest of us.
Thank you Zynga! I love this improvement. Now we’ll have to go to Quick Match more to enjoy the game, so I would like “double-up recourses events” to gain much recourse from Quick Match.
Like why not cap the amount of xp a rich person can spend and max an omega in one day? OOH NO DON'T DO THAT IT'S FAIR PLAY... **** .that's just one. I have to get back to work since all I have time us on the weekends to play. Another reason why this daily cap is BS.. Ill never be able to maintain so today is the day I'm done and once the next hq or omega comes out I'm quitting if they don't fix this.
May be it's a self destructing decision for you. You guys should rethink about this issue Zynga. Or you will lose many (MANY) players. You know many attractive games are out there.
RIP_E&A
Its time to leave this game
and for cheating alliances, what improvements do they apply?
isto é um absurdo. como ousam ultrapassar ilimitadamente o limite pelo qual nos beneficia com pouco que ganhamos ? ou vocês colocam como estava ou irá perder jogadores que gastam dinheiro como eu. sem mais. absurdo.
Yep, RIP E&A. No more money for you.
ok so let me get this straight farming the map is an unfair advantage how is that when everyone can do it all this is about is zynga trying to make more money by charging gold to reset the maps how are we supposed to get resourses in quick matches when people give there resourses to there teamates for safe keeping then give it back when needed tell me how that is a fair advantage it costs me over 200k steel and fuel to revive viper when she dies not to mention almost 200k for my army ,so tell me again how were supposed to build and grow when everyone you try to attack has 0 to 40k in resourses this is a complete bullshit idea and you probably just killed your game your gonna have a massive amount of people quit if you dont make a way to gain resourses how ya supposed to level up things when it costs in the millions of every resourse and ya cant get nothing from quick matches, you guys are idiots
Have you given any thought to how generals are suppose to provide troop support without fuel? Do you know how much fuel it cost to fill war bases? How are we suppose to provide resources to new players to get them interested in the game, because left to upgrade on their own they quickly loose interest and stop playing! I've been playing tor three years and have to say this is the worse move you've made, please, please reconsider!
All I can say is: you'll regret this.
This is the DUMBEST thing to do!!! You had people playing for hours spending money now WHY PLAY AT ALL NEVER EVER SHOULD DICOURAGE GAME PLAY HECK I WOULD ENCOURAGE FARMING OFFER DOUBLE THE RESOURCES IF YOU BOUGHT A DOUBLER. this game has jumped the shark
What a pile of garbage. The change mission exploit is common knowledge. There is no unfair advantage if everyone knows about it. Some people are just PO'd that other people have more time to play than they do.
Limiting the xp for omegas on the globe. Outstanding. I wonder how long it will take to get the xp to lvl my omega to lvl12. Even lvl 9 or 10 with is bs xp limit. Reaching lvl 15 would take well over a year. Couldn't have the xp limit kick in when the free change mission uses were up. No, it kicks in way before.
Players (bona fide) were screaming for you to deal with the cheaters. You know, the botting and scripting players. Your solution is to place limits on bona fide players. You know, the ones actually putting in the time (hours worth of work). Limits that put the breaks on being able to progress and enjoy the game at their own pace.
Did ya boot the cheaters? How about at least resetting their progress? Funny you don't mention that the cheaters were dealt with and how they were dealt with.
This is nothing but another money grab (gold for missions and omega xp).
Keep up the good work. If killing your "bona fide" player base is your goal...you're on the right track.
