Game is unresponsive to touch

a. When I load the game, I can see characters and animals moving, but the game is unresponsive to touch.
b. There is no error message.
c. No screenshots
d. I have force quit and then started again. Same problem. I have restarted my iPad. Same problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice. Same problem. I have tried it on my iPhone as well and had the same issue. The rest of my applications on the iPad work fine, so it’s not a touchscreen issue.
e. iPad Air 2 MGTY2LL/A, iOS 13.3.1 also iPhone 7 FN8N2LL/A, iOS 13.3.1

This is happening to me now and nothing I’ve tried has fixed the problem! Did you guys have to do anything or did it eventually fix itself?

Same issue for at least the last month. In the past week I have deleted and reinstalled the app at least 4 times. Today it loaded animals instead of the holiday theme, but it still doesn't respond to touch on my ipad.
