@trish4422 It cannot be turned off because the 2 min wait is to simulate your opponent is "thinking". I know a lot of chess games that do the same thing. Developers believe it makes it seem more realistic, as if you are playing another person rather than their artificial intelligence.

LOL at "thinking time" :-) I play a lot of other players who often play in just a few seconds! No need for Solo Play to attempt to simulate a real player - we know we're playing against a computer (and not a very good one at that) so please get rid of the ridiculous 2 minute wait. I would take less that 2 minutes for a developer to amend the code!

Couldn't agree more! I'm aware when playing against a computer, and don't need artificial delays. Besides, have the developers realized that they can better analyze player capabilities if they measure response time between plays? Correlation between word length, score, and response time? Just think: You could sell information about real wordsmiths!
